Welp. The sequelhas a mostly identical menu, as well as a leaked prerelease build revealing several additional debug features that were more or less completely removed from both that game and probably also this one. I figured those games needed a little love - I hope you enjoy (Admittedly, most of the music I use is from IS PSP. Innocent Sinhas some extensive debug features which can be enabled using a patch (in both US and Japanese versions). Despite its North American absence, Atlus saw fit to release Innocent Sin's direct follow-up, Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, in North America in 2000. A large add-on that changes a lot of the in-game music to various tracks from Persona 2: Innocent Sin and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment. To date, Innocent Sin is the only Persona game never released in the US. Innocent Sin will also feature a remixed soundtrack, though purists will be able to play with the original tunes if they prefer. The game is being tweaked to suit its new platform, optimized for the PSP's 16:9 aspect ratio and given a new interface and additional side quests. That's an oversight Atlus is ready to remedy, as the publisher today announced that it would be bringing Innocent Sin to North American PSPs this fall. Atlus is repentant for keeping Innocent Sin from the world. The 1999 role-playing game for the original PlayStation was never released outside of Japan, even though critical acclaim for the title had no trouble crossing borders. Take Shin Megami: Tensei: Persona 2: Innocent Sin, for example. While the Shin Megami Tensei series has become a familiar sight on North American store shelves in recent years, it wasn't always that way.
